The music program on board and on land is performed by musicians from
the Vienna’s Concilium Musicum. Paul Angerer
and his son, Christoph, founded
Vienna’s Concilium Musicum to play 18th century works in 1982,
since when it has been constantly enlarging its repertoire. Vienna’s
Concilium musicum is nowadays well known for its comprehensive musical
spectrum, ranging form Baroque music right through to 19th
century dance music. It makes sure that good, but long dead music is heard
again, performs the works of the great masters back into the limelight. The
ensemble plays on original, authentic instruments from the period before and
around 1800 that look, and indeed sound, exactly as they did then.
